Donald Trump and Biff Tannen two of a kind

I just watched the movie Back to the Future II. In the movie there is a character called Biff Tannen, and for some reason it makes me think about Donald Trump. Could it because Biff Tannen portrays a person who is ignorant, vulgar and stupid, without self awareness and inflated ego?

Donald think Sweden is a banana republic where you call the prime minister in order to release a suspect. But the “bad” news is that Sweden has separation of powers. The judiciary power is separated from the legislative power. If Donald had participated in a class called “Government” in High School he had known that this is the way it is in most countries in Europe and Northern America. In any country that is not corrupted, a politician that intervenes in a juridic process should be sacked and put in prison.

In Sweden there is no such thing as bail. All are equal in front of the law, rich or poor. In Sweden you can not pay the bail in order to be released from the arrest. Sweden is not perfect though, because the arrest times can in some cases be extremely long, and this causes problems for people that are later found innocent.

I feel sorry for the United States, it has such a rich history with prominent presidents. It had such a pride in its governments and institutions, and the history of being a melting pot of people coming from different places but united under the American flag. But lately the country is in disillusion. What I can not grasp is how such a great nation all of a sudden has a leader that is hateful, vulgar, ignorant and stupid, on par of a banana republic leader; and unable to make the White House Office an effective organization to govern the nation.

I think that the United States need a revised election process. For one thing more candidates are needed, and the ability for more that two parties (the Democrats and Republicans) to represent the people. Another thing is to assure that the winner is the one that had most votes.

The whole world will suffer from the Dunning-Kruger effect. Dunning and Kruger found out that the less a person knows, the higher the person estimates his own knowledge. This has the very sad consequence that Donald Trump does not trust science. He does not even understand that the whole civilization is at peril because of climate change, and that mankind has to act.
